The boldest hat in the forest belongs to this one. A deep raspberry pink toadstool with white spots, worn with the cheerful confidence of a creature who has never once considered blending in. They sit low and round in the undergrowth, chin up, entirely unbothered by the fact that every passing woodland creature can see them from three glades away. That is, you suspect, entirely the point.
Each Toadstool Folk duckling is handcarved in Indonesia from a single piece of bamboo root, which means the grain, the tone, and the posture are unique to the individual. The warm honey timber shifts from piece to piece, marked by the natural texture of the root and the hand of the person who shaped it. There is no paint on the body, no costume beyond the hat. Just bamboo, carved with care into something that feels like it wandered in from somewhere older and quieter than here.
Every DCUK duck arrives with a name of their own. Yours will introduce themselves when they arrive.
